Description
Standard timing belt kit for Common Rail TDI engines. This kit contains all of the required parts for a timing belt replacement. Though VW specifies a 120,000-mile interval, we recommend changing the timing belt every 100,000 miles to promote the long life of your engine.
It is also recommended to change the lower timing cover for our upgraded CNC machined aluminum replacement. If the serpentine belt fails it can be sucked into the timing belt system, causing catastrophic engine damage. This aluminum cover is both stronger and closer fitting to the harmonic balancer.
