Description

This specialty tool is used to counterhold the cam sprocket hub on 2004-2006 PD TDI engines BEW, BHW and BRM. It is needed, along with MNT052 shown below to remove and install the cam sprocket hub bolt from PD TDI cam shafts during camshaft replacement or other head work. Works better than the original T10051 because it does not have a long, fixed handle to get in the way of other engine parts. Now specified for use in CVCA & CRUA timing belt changes. Use it with a 1/2″ drive breaker bar or long-handled ratchet in any configuration you like. Heat treated pins in alloy steel, Metalnerd® brand. Made in USA.

Note: This tool is NOT needed for routine timing belt changes on BEW, BHW or BRM engines, only camshaft replacement.
