22 Sep 2026 tariff update – with 50% tariffs on products from Canada skid plates are on hold until tariffs blow over. No one is going to pay $600 for a skid plate, and we are not going to be left with 3,000 lbs of skid plates (our average order size) with a question mark on when we can sell them.

The best thing you can do is sign up for updates on the site. As soon as we have them restocked the system will auto send you an email that they are back in stock. This also will help us know if we should order a larger quantity or not once we are able to order them again. We have no idea if this is going to blow over in a matter of weeks, months, or when the next administration takes office, so for now we’re in a holding pattern. Sorry that the business world is in this state, but it’s some of the things that we find ourselves navigating daily, and this is a big enough and expensive enough item that a 50% tariff is not a gamble we’re willing to take.

Osiris skid plate by Evolution Import, Inc. specific to the Jetta as well as B7 Passat with TDI engine built in 2015. Because most VW oil pans have only a few inches of ground clearance, these are a good idea at stock height and a necessity for lowered cars. Note on Oil Changes: There is a mostly pre-cut oil drain opening for TDIs (the Osiris Oil Cover can be placed over this opening). Otherwise, removal of the skid plate is very quick and easy, taking 1-2 minutes. Only the bottom six bolts need to be removed.
