Eurospec Sport OEM SACHS or LuK dual-mass clutch with either dual-sided Kevlar (Stage 2) or dual-sided ceramic (Stage 3) clutch and flywheel kit. This is for VW vehicles with a TDI engine and 6-speed manual transmission. The 02Q has steel synchros and requires a dual-mass flywheel for replacement (a single-mass kit will destroy your transmission).

Stage 2 – updated March 2026 (pics pending):
This kit now features a dual sided kevlar discs. It holds 42% more torque than the stock 02-057 LuK kit, which is approximately 425 lb/ft of torque. Kevlar is the prefect balance between durability and smoothness. Known for its strength and heat resistance, Kevlar is the premium choice with the least amount of compromises.

It’s also the most expensive lining option, and we shied away from it because of that. We feel an extra $100 per lining side when you’re using the clutch for years and years is worth the expense.  The engagement is similar to stock, and this setup is built with streetability in mind: stock pedal pressure, smooth engagement, great holding power, and long lasting. We expect this to be the most popular kit we sell.

Stage 3:
This kit features dual sided ceramic discs. It holds 50% more torque than the stock 02-057 LuK kit, which is approximately 450 lb/ft of torque. This kit takes approximately 5,000 miles to fully break in. Pedal feel is similar to stock, but this kit is much grabbier than the stage 2. Not obnoxiously so, but definitely noticeable. This setup sheds heat the best and is perfect for towing, racing, and other high performance builds.

Installation Note: Make sure you bleed the slave cylinder BEFORE installing it to get all the air bubbles out!

Break-in Note: Feramic linings take close to 5,000+ miles of normal driving to fully bed in, so go easy on it during the break-in process. Also, during this process, it will be more grabby than usual.

Warranty Note: for any warranty coverage LuK requires the flywheel and clutch kit to be replaced together.
