Description

This CP3 kit allows for the replacement of the factory CP4 pump with a BMW R70 high pressure fuel pump. The CP3 pump is a more durable pump capable of running higher rail pressure. A new metering valve or tune is not necessary to run the BMW CP3 pump as these pumps plug directly in and work with the stock tune.

Latest Revision August 2024 will now fit all 2.0L North American TDI’s from 2009-2015: CBEA, CJAA, CKRA, CRUA, CVCA

Metering Valve Part Numbers:

***IMPORTANT NOTES**
-Factory rail pressure sensor is 1875 BAR. When it fails it’s very expensive to replace, so some customers like switching to the 2200 bar sensor as it’s much more economical. It’s only required for above 200 hp builds. If your factory sensor is working correctly do not try to do this preemptively as you will likely create more problems than you will solve.
-This kit does not require tuning, unless you are currently tuned. In that case you will likely need a tune update. See above for metering valve part numbers. You are still responsible to confirm the part number you receive with your kit and coordinate with your tuner.
-Some customers have chased fuel rail pressure codes and have found that swapping their old metering valve from their existing CP4 to the CP3 kit has been successful. Unfortunately this is sometimes what’s needed in order to get the reliability of a CP3 and have all the sensors speak correctly between your ECU and your vehicle.
-If you have ANY debris in your fuel system it will clog the internal screen on the HPFP. Often this will blow out the plug and cause a fuel leak. Bosch has made it clear that this not an issue with the pump but rather not enough prep being done, so make sure your fuel system is completely clean to avoid buying two (or more) HPFP’s!
-We will update this list with things with any other patterns we find. If you have any helpful hints please email them over and we will update the listing as needed. Please note one off experiences may not make the list, but as patterns emerge they will make it up here.
